Final project

For my final project, I would like to explore the topic of expanding one’s identity “late” in life. This is personally relevant to me because I became an American citizen in October of last year. I found the change to be startling because despite having lived in the U.S. for 11 years, I could never call myself American during that time. With my project, I would like to explore how this addition to my identity both does and does not recontextualize the past 11 years I have spent in the U.S. The ideas I am working with are transformation, perspective change, growth, addition, contradiction, and uncertainty.
